songwriting Gracetown


From Sunday to Wednesday I was not in Stuttgart and I have not studied well-behaved, but the band was in Heidelberg in the legendary recording studio mountain home and wrote songs. The first record of Gracetown we have just recorded, the task now was to write songs that are designed locally for the Jesus House.
With zeal we jumped to this challenge and had only good talks, very good food, lots of laughing actually lucky to have come out at the end of the 4 days also results in the form of very beautiful songs.





play on Saturday we Gracetown on Church Night In Nagold and I'm looking forward to total it, even if it's a pity that Laura can not be there. :-( What
for me now is to learn proper texts, so I find my songs too can proudly represent.

Yesterday was the funeral of the sister of a good friend of mine. She died after a long and severe illness and, with her life and her faith sustained impressed many.
to sing at the funeral was kinda heavy. Perhaps because of the pain so close was the fact that I knew her. Und die Menschen zu kennen, denen sie jetzt am meisten fehlt, macht einen selber sehr traurig.

It starts!

On Thursday, my songs, and I made our way to Heidelberg to the studio to Lars Peter. Our plan was to sift through the songs, the music for it to finish writing and layout to be incorporated.

The lyrics I carry some around with me since last spring, I've written half of it in America when I was at my sister for a visit. The others are during the time subsequently emerged and also tell from my life. The more excited you are then to write music for these texts, and finally incorporated.
There were really two super days, very creative and we got the layout of 4 songs done. I need to work with Lars Peter of the Mountain Home Studio, a very talented singer songwriter, pianist and Producers praise, it's just great to work with someone who speaks the same musical language as oneself. The more I'm looking forward to continue working again. I am very grateful that the ideas I carry around with me for so long, are finally actually started the project and album, and takes shape. Somehow I got myself as no longer quite believed in it. But now, I'm lookin just grad just over it! And think of all the people who have always encouraged me to write songs and make something original. Thank you! Heidelberg
